To say I love animals is an understatement! I could not imagine my life without animals, I believe they are angels sent from heaven for those of us who truly understand just how amazing and wonderful they are.
I also love painting, so it was not a stretch to combine the two. I can honestly say I am living my best life combining my favorite things.
Painting an heirloom pet portrait for a beloved furry family member that will be a cherished keepsake is truly one of the most thoughtful ways to show just how much you love your fur-baby.
It’s important for me to point out that I don’t use filters or anything that creates an instant “effect” Those effects truly are horrible, not realistic at all because they are generated by computer calculations.
I did not study for decades to be a classically trained painter to “pretend” to paint. I spend many days/hours and in some cases months on my paintings. Hand painting stroke by stroke as I do in traditional mediums with my pressure sensitive tablet and art pen.
I typically paint in oils although I do dabble in other mediums like watercolor, acrylics or just a pencil and paper. I'm a big fan of Ansel Adams photography I love black and white art. I also love John Singer Sargent’s work and Rembrandt just to name a few.
I take great pride in creating pet portraits as my clients tend to become family because we have bonded over our mutual love for fur-babies.
Hope you will join the family! :)
